Ernie 85th Birthday

25 September 2026

I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of Ernie for inviting us to play in his 85^th Birthday Golf Day.

These occasions are a chance for Ernie to meet up with his colleagues he has had many a good time on the fairways.

These things don't just happen and i would like to thank everyone who made the day a great success.

Obviously on these events the results don't really matter as long everyone had a good time and i'm sure this was the case.

The results however were as follows.

1^st Michael Billson - 39

2^nd Ian Waite - 36

3^rd Gary Benson - 33

Nearest pins Ian Waite, Geoff Rippon, Bob Newton. Stuart Fieldson and Harvey Benson with two. Two balls came the way of Rippon and Newton.

After some lovely fish & chips Ernie presented the prizes to the successful players and then was presented with some holiday vouchers and a statue for his garden.

A great day in honour of a great man well respected by all who joined him on such a special day.
